MRS Conflict Minerals Policy Statement

Statement of MRS Electronic GmbH & Co. KG on the use of "conflict minerals" (tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold) in the products, referring to section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank-Act).

This statement is based on information from the supply chain of MRS Electronic.

We are aware of our social responsibility with regard to human rights, the environment, health and safety and recognize that our behavior in the market has an impact onsociety and the environment.

In order to ensure a sustainable, peaceful and fair use of our global resources, we have made it to our goal to create a supply chain that is considered conflict-free in relation to the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo) and its neighbouring regions.

We only achieve this goal by working closely with our direct suppliers which we always encourage to source products, parts or components containing conflict minerals from conflict-free sources. We expect our suppliers to develop, implement and communicate their own conflict minerals procurement policies to their own suppliers.  They should also implement the process with similar guidelines and pass it on to their suppliers. We require our suppliers, in cooperation with their own suppliers, to be able to trace the origin of conflict minerals back to at least the melt. We encourage them to use a CMRT template (s.http://www.responsiblemineralsinitiative.org/conflict-minerals-reporting-template/).

Here you can download the MRS CMRT directly.
